Maharashtra Becomes India’s First Official State to Allow the Permanent Sale of Craft Beer via Growlers

The pandemic may have made Maharashtra the worst-hit state when it comes to COVID-19 cases, but it has strangely, also made the same state a trend-setter when it comes to the craft beer industry in India! Maharashtra is now officially the first state in India to allow microbreweries to permanently sell their craft beer through growlers!

From one craft brewery to 20 and now normalising beer sales through growlers: Maharashtra is proof that Indians are loving craft beer and demand more of it. After months of piled up bills and having to drain a lakh litres of craft beer in one shot, this was the good news the microbrewery industry was waiting for! How long before the other states follow suit?
