Craft beer has always been about pushing limits, but Ironhill India’s latest creation goes a throttle higher. Project Valkyrie, a collaboration with the all-women biker collective She for Society, celebrates courage, community, and the pure joy of brewing.
A Ride with Purpose
On launch day, 35 riders roared through a two-kilometre circuit before rolling into Ironhill Marathahalli, the world’s largest microbrewery. Engines cooled, the women swapped helmets for brew paddles, joining Ironhill’s team in a rare grain-to-glass session. Every stir of malt and pour of hops helped shape Valkyrie Brew, a limited-edition craft beer inspired by the Norse warrior goddesses who chose the brave.
Why Beer Hits Different In Monsoon
“Beer is more than a drink; it’s an experience,” said Teja Chekuri, Ironhill’s Managing Partner. “Valkyrie is brewed by women, for everyone, and shows how craft and culture can break boundaries.”
Riders with a Mission
For Harshini Devatha, founder of She for Society, every mile carries meaning. Her NGO of women riders has built 40 computer-training hubs across rural Karnataka and is known for Bengaluru’s biggest patriotic rides. “With Project Valkyrie, we’re amplifying our mission to fund rural education while proving that women riders are a force of resilience and change,” she said.

Beyond the Road: Lasting Impact
She for Society’s work stretches far beyond the thrill of the ride. The collective raises funds for education in rural communities, focusing on digital literacy and skill development for underprivileged children. Their Independence Day and Republic Day rallies unite thousands of citizens to honor national pride while spotlighting social causes. From supporting women’s health camps to providing disaster relief, their initiatives show how a passion for biking can spark tangible, long-term change in society.
