Drifters Breweries, the magnum opus of Sheetal & Nayan Shah, has kick-started a 15 day Lager Festival from 1st March – 15th March. Drifters breweries is showcasing 4 different lager styles – and this is the first time any microbrewery has served so many lagers at a single time in one location.

The four types of lager served at the brewery are German Lager (Helles), Czech Pilsner (Charles de Pils), Vienna Lager (Mozart’s Magic) and Czech Amber Lager (Bohemian Beauty).

German Lager (Helles) is dry and refreshing. It is a traditional German pale lager beer with a predominantly hoppy aroma from noble hop, Saaz.

Czech Pilsner (Charles de Pils), a bottom-fermented pilsner style lager. It has a clean/light, crisp, smooth maltiness balanced with gentle hop flavours.

Vienna Lager (Mozart’s Magic), has a slight biscuity or a nutty malt character with gentle creaminess to it.

Czech Amber Lager (Bohemian Beauty) is a medium bodied, amber coloured lager with toasty caramel like malt character and very low on bitterness.

A 15 days festival is to promote the finest beers which are light, crispy and a refreshing choice for the summers. “It is the first time any microbrewery brand is giving the lagers their long overdue respect. The lagers are available at their tap station in Bandra as well as in growler stations across Mumbai and Pune with exclusive offers for delivery or pick-up.
