Bengaluru Gets Its First Vinyl Microbrewery with 33&Brew

33&brew

Bengaluru’s craft beer story continues to evolve, and this time, it comes with a soundtrack.

At Brookefield, 33&Brew has opened its doors as India’s first vinyl microbrewery, bringing together small-batch brewing, analogue music, and a thoughtfully designed social space. Located in Prestige Technostar, the brewery moves beyond the conventional brewpub format, positioning itself as an experience-led destination where beer, music, and design flow together seamlessly.

Red Rhino Enters Retail With Bottled Craft Beer

At its core, 33&Brew is built around rhythm. Not just the rhythm of music, but of how guests move through the space—arriving, settling in, and staying awhile. The idea is simple yet intentional: create a place where people slow down, connect, and return.

Where Craft Beer Meets Analogue Culture

The concept draws inspiration from two constants—33 RPM, the speed of vinyl records, and 33°F, the ideal temperature for pouring a lager. Together, they reflect precision, nostalgia, and a deep respect for craft.

The beer program is led by Master Brewer Stephen Nelsen, a third-generation brewer with over three decades of global experience. His approach blends traditional brewing techniques with modern flavour profiles, resulting in beers that are balanced, expressive, and approachable.

Tilaknagar Industries: Beyond Its Brandy Legacy

The rotating tap list ensures there is always something new on offer. From easy-drinking lagers to bold seasonal brews, the lineup caters to both seasoned enthusiasts and curious first-timers.

Signature pours include:

  • A-Side Lager – crisp, clean, and crowd-friendly
  • Golden Groove Hefeweizen – light, hazy, and refreshing
  • Velvet Press Chocolate Porter – rich and indulgent
  • Ashen Tracks Roggen Weizen – smoky with layered complexity
  • High Fidelity Belgian Tripel – bold and full-bodied
  • Needle Drop IPA – punchy, hop-forward, and vibrant

Each beer feels like a track in a well-curated playlist—distinct, memorable, and designed to complement the moment.

A Space Designed to Be Felt

Step inside, and the influence of analogue culture becomes instantly visible. Designed by Studio Taan, the space blends industrial elements with retro warmth—exposed brick, brass finishes, and deep tones of mahogany and red.

But the real soul of the space lies in its vinyl archive. With over 1,000 records spanning genres like rock, funk, soul, and hip-hop, guests are encouraged to browse, listen, and immerse themselves in curated sessions. It’s not just background music—it’s a central part of the experience.

The layout adapts to different moods. You can settle into a quiet corner for a listening session or gather with friends over pints and shared plates. Either way, the space invites you to stay longer than planned.

Food That Keeps Pace

The food program, curated by Chef Sabyasachi Gorai, mirrors the same philosophy—familiar yet elevated.

Small plates lead the menu, with dishes like Spicy Mushroom Mille-Feuille and Gambas al Ajillo designed for sharing. Indian flavours find a modern expression through plates like Goan Prawn Arancini and Hokkaido Bun Keema.

There’s also a strong global influence, with wood-fired flatbreads, handmade pastas, risottos, and grills rounding out the offering. The experience ends on a sweet note with desserts like Basque Cheesecake and Tiramisù à la Naples.

It’s a menu that complements the beer without overpowering it—balanced, thoughtful, and built for repeat visits.

More Than Just a Brewpub

33&Brew isn’t trying to be just another microbrewery in Bengaluru. It’s building a space where craft, culture, and community intersect.

By combining beer with vinyl, food, and design, it offers something more immersive—an environment where every detail, from the pour of a pint to the crackle of a record, is part of a larger story.

And in a city that thrives on both craft beer and music, that combination feels just right.
