ProWine Mumbai 2025 closed this year with a level of clarity that industry veterans immediately recognised. India is no longer the “next” market for global alcobev brands. It is a current, fast-moving, commercially relevant market with a maturing audience and a trade ecosystem ready to scale.
The two-day event at the Jio World Convention Centre brought together 213 exhibitors from 21 countries and drew over 5,485 trade visitors across 33 countries, making it the most engaged and business-focused edition so far. Importers, distributors, HoReCa leaders, craft producers, retailers, bartenders, and sommeliers moved through the show floor with a clear agenda: explore, evaluate, and expand.
ProWine Mumbai 2025 From Showcase To Marketplace
“Being part of ProWine 2025 was a rewarding experience — a perfect blend of collaboration, innovation, and cultural exchange within the global alco-bev industry. We’re proud to have represented Swiss winemakers on such a vibrant international stage. ProWine 2025 was an outstanding platform to connect, collaborate, and showcase the excellence of Swiss winemaking. The event offered valuable industry insights and meaningful exchanges, making it a truly enriching experience for all participants.” Vikram Bhatnagar - Director, SWINTRA Ventures Pvt. Ltd.
Setting the Tone: New Initiatives for a Changing Market
This year’s show profile signalled the shifts in India’s drinking culture.
ProWine Zero captured strong footfall as the low- and no-alcohol category continued to find relevance among both consumers and operators. From alcohol-free spirits to ferments and botanical blends, the space stayed active throughout, pointing to a real market opportunity rather than a passing trend.
Alongside it, ProSpirits showcased premium and craft-led spirits portfolios, whiskies, gins, agave spirits, liqueurs, and aperitifs, mirroring the premiumisation seen across India’s bars and retail shelves.
To streamline business flow, ProWine Connect helped exhibitors and trade visitors schedule appointments ahead of time, a feature that several first-timers credited for making their visit more productive than expected.
These initiatives shaped the tone of the fair early on: focused, structured, and aligned to the realities of the Indian alcobev market.
Back-to-Back Masterclasses with Full Attendance
Education remained central to ProWine Mumbai’s identity. Across two days, masterclasses stayed full, covering Old and New World wine regions, sustainability, sake, Irish spirits, and category-led tastings.
For bar teams, hospitality professionals, and beverage trainers, these sessions offered a rare combination of technical depth and practical relevance, a key reason why they’re consistently among the most sought-after segments of the show.

Industry Conversations in an Open-Stage Format
The trade discussions unfolded on the show floor, open, accessible, and continuously surrounded by industry professionals. Speakers addressed topics that matter for India’s alcobev growth story: consumer shifts, operational bottlenecks, pricing realities, cocktail culture, and the need to refresh wine programs. The open format encouraged candid insights rather than rehearsed talking points.
ProWine & ProSpirits Challenge 2025: A Practical Buying Guide
The Challenge continued to be a strong anchor for quality benchmarking. With no registration fee, the competition brought boutique producers and large portfolios onto a level playing field. Wines and spirits were evaluated by an expert jury, and the resulting medal list now acts as a reliable reference point for buyers across markets.
The winning labels later featured at the Infinity Tasting Bar during ProWine Mumbai Night, giving the trade a chance to taste the top-scoring entries side-by-side.
ProWine Bartenders’ Competition: A Showcase of India’s Growing Talent Pool
On the show floor, the ProWine Bartenders’ Competition drew a steady crowd. Six finalists competed live, presenting cocktails that demonstrated technique, balance and creativity.
The jury featured respected names including Yangdup Lama, Charlie McCarthy among few others.
Deepika Shukla (Japonico, Gurgaon) won the 2025 title, earning a takeover at The Haflington, Hanoi (#87 Asia’s Best Bars 2025), along with a cash prize and a seat at WSET Level 2 Award in Spirits scholarship — a win that underscores the rising calibre of bartending talent in India.

ProWine Mumbai Night: A High-Quality Industry Gathering
Day One concluded with the invite-only ProWine Mumbai Night, easily one of the highlight events for the alcobev community.
The evening brought together importers, HoReCa groups, international producers, domestic brands and trade partners, not for show, but for meaningful exchange in a more relaxed format.
Guests enjoyed a curated gala dinner and networking drinks, along with two standout bar experiences: the VDP Bar, showcasing exceptional German wines from one of the world’s oldest wine associations, Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter (VDP) and the Infinity Tasting Bar featuring medal winners from the ProWine & ProSpirits Challenge.
The “Honoring Excellence” felicitation added a formal touch, acknowledging individuals and organisations making tangible contributions to India’s beverage ecosystem.

What Comes Next
One of the strongest indicators of the show’s success came even before the final hour: several exhibitors rebooked their booth locations for 2026, and a wave of new enquiries began coming in.
It’s a clear reflection of where the market stands — India is no longer exploratory terrain for global alcobev brands. It’s a committed business destination, and ProWine Mumbai is now firmly positioned as the gateway.
The fair returns on 18–19 November 2026 at the Jio World Convention Centre.
