Mannheim Craft Brewery isn’t here to blend in. They don’t chase trends, but stay focused on what matters—brewing exceptional beer to the highest German quality standards, delivering an experience that actually respects the drinker, and doing it all with zero compromise.
Rooted in German brewing traditions but built for the Indian palate, Mannheim Craft Brewery doesn’t just serve pints—it serves purpose. Every element, from the beer to the food to the design of the space, is intentional. Clean. Consistent. No gimmicks. Just world-class beer in a space that takes its craft seriously.
India And Her Love For Strong Beers
The Mannheim Experience
Walk into Mannheim Craft Brewery, and you’ll know you’re not in just another taproom. The space is massive—open-air, purpose-built, and designed to host over 1,000 people without feeling like a crowd. It’s not trying to be quirky or cool. It’s just built right. Clean lines, green pockets, sharp service, and just the right amount of edge.
Then comes the beer. 17 styles on tap. No filler. From crisp, no-nonsense Helles Lagers to punchy IPAs, rich Dunkels, and that unapologetically tart Berliner Weisse—every brew at Mannheim Craft Brewery is held to the highest German quality standards. Because here, consistency isn’t a nice-to-have—it’s the bare minimum.
The food pulls its weight too. Think smoked smoked ribs and brisquests. Grilled tenderloin tornadoes. And yes, the crowd-pleasers—loaded nachos, smoky tandoori platters, the works. It’s bold, balanced, and built to pair. And if beer’s not your thing? The craft coffee—sourced from Chikamagalur’s finest—is reason enough to stay.
The Founders and Brewers
Mannheim Craft Brewery is the result of decades of sharp thinking, category experience, and leadership that actually knows how to build something that lasts.
Naveen Menon spent over 20 years across US, Europe and India with companies like Seimens, Accenture, Rockwell Automation — he brings structure, scale, and the long view. Nikhil Menon, with a background in shipping, logistics, and hospitality, Nikhil Menon ensures seamless operations. He has also honed his expertise in brewing through studies at Chicago’s Siebel Institute of Technology. Shankar Subramaniam knows the alco-bev industry inside out—27+ years across SABMiller, UB Group, and Pernod Ricard, decoding what works in the market and what never will. And Nirmal PV brings nearly three decades of hospitality experience, running premium hotels and managing one of Bengaluru’s first microbreweries. He knows what great service looks like—and how to deliver it every single day.
On the brewing side, Head Brewer Varsha Srinivas Bhat leads the charge. A VLB Berlin graduate, she brings a rare blend of technical rigour and creative edge. Backing her is a solid team: Rahul Sukhdev Sanap and Suraj Khadangale from Nashik’s wine region, along with assistant brewers Jadhav Chetan Annasaheb and Sanket Jamdhade Changdev. Together, they brew with discipline, consistency, and respect for the craft.
Global Connections, Local Excellence
Mannheim Craft Brewery’s vision doesn’t stop at Whitefield. The brewery’s strategic partnership with Zurich-based Dr. Brauwolf has created a rare cross-border collaboration in the world of craft beer.
Ethical Sourcing And Sustainable Packaging In Alcobev
This commitment to excellence has earned the brand recognition on some of the region’s most competitive stages. At the Asia Beer Championship 2024 in Singapore, their Helles Lager and Berliner Weisse took home bronze and silver, respectively—adding to its growing list of accolades, including multiple awards at previous Asia Beer Championships and the Brewer World India Awards.
What’s Next
Mannheim Craft Brewery isn’t in a rush to be everywhere. It’s expanding—but only on its own terms.
The focus now is on scaling distribution across Karnataka and key markets in India, getting great beer into the right hands without compromising what makes it great in the first place. Contract brewing and e-commerce are also on the radar—practical moves to meet demand, not shortcuts.
No dramatic reinventions. No gimmicks. Just more of what works: beers brewed to German standards, served with purpose, and backed by a team that’s clear about who they are and where they’re going.
Because growth doesn’t mean going bigger. It means going better.
