Simba, India's first home-grown, family-run craft beer brand, is proud to celebrate its 7th anniversary in India. Founded by Ishwaraj Singh Bhatia & Prabhtej Singh Bhatia from Raipur in 2016, Simba has successfully positioned itself as a brand that crafts beer using the choicest of ingredients sourced globally. The brand's commitment to using high-quality ingredients ensures a freshly brewed glass of liquid gold with a consistent taste since its inception. Unlike other breweries that produce beer in bulk, Simba is crafted in small batches, giving enough attention and focus to the recipe of each beer.

In the span of seven years, the brand has created a niche in the industry and is currently available across 16 Indian states i.e., Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Assam, Arunachal, Tripura, Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa, Kerala. Simba's flagship brewery in Durg, Chhattisgarh, India, produces its diverse portfolio of WIT, Lager, Stout, and Strong Beers, which have successfully made their mark in the Indian craft beer landscape with their unique and authentic flavours.

Brewed by beer lovers, Simba is the result of rigorous research on supreme quality beer and undergoes a difficult process of using fresh water rather than Co-underground water, which is frequently used by other brands. Additionally, Simba was at the forefront of the stout beer revolution and was the first player to introduce bottled stout in India.

“We set up Simba so we could brew the kind of beer we wanted to drink – authentic, flavourful & made with only the finest quality ingredients. We realized that with the existing crop of bottled craft beers in the market being overcrowded with the same styles, we needed to bring something new, vibrant & young. Enter, SIMBA Beer. It’s incredible watching our brand complete 07 roaring years and we are excited to achieve new milestones with our robust plans to bolster our presence across the country” says Prabhtej Singh Bhatia, Co-Founder & CEO, SIMBA.

“With Simba, we always wanted to craft a beer that’s savoured and never chugged. We wanted consumers to taste the freshly brewed liquid using the high-quality ingredients with every sip. For us, brewing has never been about business. It’s a tradition, passion, a calling – but never business. We are thrilled to further tap into the tremendous potential shown by the brand in the market so far and we are really looking forward to making Simba known as being synonymous with bold flavours, innovation, and authenticity” says Ishwaraj Singh Bhatia, Co-Founder, SIMBA.

Simba already has about 40% market share when it comes to the premium/ craft beer category in India and is evenly spread across the country when it comes to growth. In the next 5 years, the brand aims to be the fastest growing beer brand in India by expanding its footprint and making its presence felt across 22 states in India as well as globally in international markets.

About SIMBA variants:

Simba Wit

A modern Indian take on the classic Belgian Wit style. It is refreshing, with slight citrusy notes, without being overly sweet. It derives spice notes from the coriander seeds, but what makes this craft beer special is the subtle hints of lemongrass on the nose and palate. It pours golden hazy, with a fluffy head. It is light-bodied and refreshing, making it extremely sessionable.

Simba Stout

A sessionable, light-bodied stout – India’s first bottled stout. It has been specifically crafted for low-bitterness and easy drinking. On the nose and the palate, coffee dominates, along with complimentary aromas of toffee, caramel, and dark chocolate. Stout is a very rare taste which is meant for people who like to experiment with their beers

Simba Lager

Smooth and fresh, Simba Lager is for those with refined taste. It is carefully offset and completed with its old gold shading and the rich smell of the meal; it is a delightful and decisively adjusted ale that is a benchmark of its distinct style

Simba Strong

Robust, bold, raw & intense flavours. Crisp mouthfeel with flavours of a heavy roast yet balanced by a mild sweetness. A strong lager that hits the spot
